Imaginisce: Birthday Card + Welcome Spring

Another Birthday card late to the mailbox.....√ √ √ check!! Actually, in my defense...I was out of the invitation size envelopes. Walmart doesn't carry them anymore, and I never get to a craft store. So, it's actually Walmart's fault....get your stuff together, Walmart!!
Anyways-
I used the Welcome Spring collection from Imaginisce for this card. It came with several little clear stamps, but I think this butterfly is my favorite...

Happy Birthday

Supply List
Imaginisce: Welcome Spring (Spring Stripe, Flutterbye, Butterfly clear acrylic stamp); i-Rock tool and gems
American Crafts: White Cardstock

I fussy cut the main butterfly from the Flutterbye patterned paper, leaving a little bit of a pink border. I topped it and the stamped butterflies with the little rhinestones designed to go with the i-Rock tool...and also used it to add 3 white dots under my sentiment.  So fun :)

Imaginisce: Little Princess

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of guest designing for Top Dog Dies (You can see that post HERE).  In the mini album that I created for them, I made some circle flowers using the i-Top punches from Imaginisce. I loved how they turned out so much, that I decided they needed to be on a card...

Cheer Up Buttercup

Supplies
Imaginisce: Little Princess (6x6 pad); i-Top punches
American Crafts: Cardstock (white, kraft); Baker's Twine

The i-Top punches are designed to use with the i-Top Tool to make your own brads using patterned paper. Instead, I just folded the tabs over and topped with a circle using dimensional tape. I love finding creative ways  to re-purpose my
tools :)

Bella Blvd: Friday Sketch

We worked with this awesome sketch over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog last Friday....

Here is my take on it:

Turbo

Supplies:Summer Squeeze: Daily Details, Treasures & Text, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Classic Calendars: Ice Calendar, Borders, Treasures & Text; Scattered Sprinkles: Oreo Sprinkles, Treasures & Text; Molly: Treasures & Text; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Saltwater; Designer Tape: Gray Dot; Button Market: Wood Mix

Although I had to scale everything down a bit, I stayed pretty true to the sketch.  Eliminating white space, and using one medium photo instead of three small photos was key in converting it to 8.5x11. I combined all three of the new mini collections for this layout.

Be sure to check out Friday's post to see 2 more projects inspired by the same great sketch!

Bella Blvd: Monday Morning Challenge

It's time for the Monday Morning Challenge over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog. Today's challenge was to combine the Summer Squeeze and Scattered Sprinkles collections on one project....

Watermelon Love

Supplies:Summer Squeeze: Strawberry Squeeze, Treasures & Text, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Scattered Sprinkles: McIntosh Sprinkles, Oreo Sprinkles, Treasures & Text; Classic Calendars: Treasures & Text

I loved this challenge, as the new mini collections coordinate perfectly. I cut the Strawberry Squeeze and McIntosh Sprinkles patterned papers into circles, and layered them to resemble watermelon. Then, I used some punctuation marks from some old black letters to make the 'seeds' I kind of love how it turned out!

Head on over to Bella Blvd to see the other great projects made with this fun challenge!

Guest Designing for Top Dog Dies

Today, I have the pleasure of sharing projects that I made for Top Dog Dies using the Heart Mini Album Die, and Heart Mini Album Finishers Set.

Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including Little B, Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions, Savvy Stamps, and Cheery Lynn Designs. Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S. retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by British designer Stephanie Weightman.

I always just upload and print all of my Instagram photos at once. So, there are always a bunch of photos left that don't really fit into any of my other album categories. This mini album is a compilation of all the random photos I post.

Instagram Love

Supply List:
Top Dog Dies: Heart Mini Album Die, Heart Mini Album Finishers Set
Imaginisce: Little Princess (Royal Ribbon, Sweet Treat, Fairy Tale, Secret Garden,6x6 pad; plastic buttons); i-Rock Tool & Gems; i-Top punches; Perfect Vacation (Camera Stamp)
American Crafts: White Cardstock, Baker's Twine, Glitter Tape

I made the album covers from flaps that I tore off of an empty box. I just ripped the top layer off, to expose the corrugated cardboard. The pages inside are made of just regular white cardstock. You can see all of the individual pages over at the Top Dog Dies Blog.

The mini album die also makes a perfect card base just by using a folded piece of cardstock...keeping the folded side just inside the line where the die cuts.

 Small Wonder

Supply List:
Top Dog Dies: Heart Mini Album Die, Heart Mini Album Finisher's Set
Imaginisce: My Baby (Baby Girl Cut Outs, Pink Elephants, Herringbone, Plastic Buttons)
American Crafts: White Cardstock

A heart shaped card is good for any occasion...and since it's such a cute shape, it can be kept pretty simple.

Thanks for stopping by today, and don't forget to head over to the Top Dog Dies Blog. They are also doing a Guest Designer Giveaway for the whole month of June, the winner will receive $50 worth of exclusive dies! ...Be sure to go check it out!

Imaginisce: Water Balloon Fight!

It's summer themed projects all week long over at Imaginisce. I chose to use the Perfect Vacation collection...

Water Balloon Fight

 Supply List
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation (Random Stripes, Die Cut Tags); Little Princess (Royal Ribbon); i-Rock Tool & Gems, i-Top Tool and brad
American Crafts:White Cardstock, Baker's Twine, Border Punch System

I love to spatter ink and paint on my pages when they have a white background. I thought the technique would be perfect for this layout using a light aqua to resemble water. For the title, I put down some letter masks before applying the ink. Then I traced around each letter with a tiny paint brush.

Be sure to stop in over at Imaginisce all week long to see more great summer inspiration!

Bella Blvd: Friday Sketch

On Friday we had a really fun layout sketch over at the Bella Blvd Studio Blog...

Here is my take on it:

Fish On!

Supplies:Summer Squeeze: Summer Breeze, Wildflower, Borders, Treasures & Text, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Scattered Sprinkles: Just Write Journaling Stickers; Classic Calendars: Peep Calendar, Pickle Juice Calendar, Just Write Journaling Stickers; Freestyle Sophisticates: Freestyle Banana; High Five Alpha Stickers: Green; Designer Tape: Yellow Chevron

I mixed the three new mini collection for this layout. I started by picking the plaid patterned paper for the border, and just decided to stick to those three colors since it brought out the colors of the photo. The page is about fishing on Saturdays during the summer, so I picked and chose papers/embellishments from all 3 collections to match both the color scheme and theme.

Be sure to head on over to Bella Blvd to see the other projects based on this great sketch.
